Description

A pair of Federal Style fireplace andirons combining decorative brass standards with functional cast iron log supports. The vertical standards are constructed of multiple cast and spun brass sections, featuring a columnar body rising to a tapered finial. The base is supported by three scrolled, cabriole-style feet. The horizontal log supports are constructed of thick, unpolished ferrous metal, attached to the brass base. Visible marking includes a blue handwritten sticker adhered to the left andiron marked 20.
