Description
A pair of vintage wooden oars or paddles constructed of light-colored wood and finished with a clear varnish. The objects feature traditional paddle blades and rounded shafts. The shafts are joined near the center by a galvanized or plated metal clamping apparatus, allowing the oars to be secured together. The metal clamp is stamped with the text WAGNER SIMPLEX BURLINGTON WIS U.S.A. One paddle blade retains a partially worn oval label reading FEATHER CAVINESS WOODWORK CALHOUN CITY, MISS.
