Lot 19:
Description
A collection of eight vintage clear glass milk bottles contained within a single rustic metal wire carrier. The bottles are constructed of clear molded glass, consistent with traditional dairy quart size and shape, featuring wide pouring lips and sloping shoulders. The carrier is constructed of heavy gauge metal wire, designed to hold eight bottles, and features a central curved handle. Several bottles feature heavy embossing. One example clearly reads "ONE QUART" and "PROPERTY [OF]" (partially obscured by internal cloudiness). Another bottle features elaborate cursive or script text, partially visible. Mold numbers, such as ‘S 57’, are visible on the bases of some bottles.
The carrier measures approximately 17 inches in length.
