Description

A Griswold American No. 8 cast iron waffle iron. This vintage two-part hinged design produces four square waffles. The exterior is clearly marked with “AMERICAN NO 8” and a prominent “GRISWOLD” logo within a crosshairs design, surrounded by “THE GRISWOLD MFG. CO. ERIE, PA. U.S.A.” A patent date, “PAT’D DEC. 1 1908,” is also visible. It features a long handle with a coiled spring grip and is accompanied by a separate round cast iron base with a wire bale handle for stovetop use.
