The machine features a staved barrel tub constructed primarily of dark red-painted wood with metal bands, set on a wooden base with visible metal casters. A hinged wooden lid covers a central wooden agitator. An integrated, wood-framed wringer with metal gearing and a hand-crank mechanism is mounted atop the tub.
