Lot 20:
Description
An antique two-man crosscut logging saw, a traditional tool intended for felling or bucking large timber. The saw is constructed of heavy steel forming a long, flat blade, fitted with two wooden handles, one affixed to each end. The steel blade features large, pronounced alternating teeth visible along the cutting edge, characteristic of a crosscut pattern designed for efficient wood removal. The handles are made of aged, dark wood secured to the blade ends by metal fittings. Visible markings include blue fabric tags affixed to the blade near the handles, one of which is marked “B3.”
