Lot 30:
Description
A single carved wooden mask executed in a stylized tribal aesthetic. The mask is constructed from dark brown, dense wood and features an elongated face with rectangular brow ridges, recessed eyes, and a serrated, open mouth. The main face is contained within a large circular or oval frame, which is surmounted by a smaller secondary ring structure, creating a figure-eight configuration. A small, rudimentary figure with outstretched arms is carved seated within the upper ring, supported by a horizontal element. The interior cavity of the mask is hollowed out, showing lighter wood grain and visible tool marks. Visible markings include a neon green sticker labeled "206" on the upper ring and a small blue sticker labeled "30" near the base. Hanging wire is attached to the interior cavity for display.
Total height measures approximately 29 inches.
