Description

A collection of 13 geological specimens and potential lithic artifacts presented in a brown cardboard box. The assemblage includes various stone types, such as chert, flint, and quartzite. The colors range from white and light tan to dark gray, reddish-brown, and translucent amber/honey tones. Several stone specimens exhibit rough shaping, knapping, or flaking consistent with potential lithic cores or rudimentary implements. Intermixed with the stones are two elongated, pointed fragments appearing to be organic materials, possibly bone or mineralized wood. A small, bright green rectangular tag is visible among the items. Handwritten numerical markings in black marker are present on the interior box flaps: “52” is written on the upper flap, and an inverted “96” is written on the lower flap.
