Description
A single antique cast iron furnace or heater, identified by the raised lettering ISABELLA FURNACE visible across the upper front panel. The heater is constructed of heavy, blackened cast iron in a tall rectangular form with rounded corners. The exterior surfaces are extensively decorated in a Victorian style, featuring textured checkerboard panels offset by highly detailed floral and foliate scrollwork elements that adorn the two front doors and side panels. The furnace stands on an openwork cast iron base with scrolled feet. A hinged, circular side tray is affixed to the lower body. The top surface features a large circular opening. A small blue inventory sticker marked 84 is affixed to the top plate.
