Description
A vintage military-style signal container, designated SIGNAL CONTAINER MK9 MOD 0. The container is constructed of painted gray metal and features a hinged lid, a toggle latch closure, and a recessed metal carrying handle. The lid is embossed with the designation "SIGNAL CONTAINER MK9 MOD 0" and the number "563246." Additional stenciling on the lid attributes manufacture to "HARVELL-KILGORE CORP." and indicates the original contents were "12 SIGNALS / SMOKE AND ILLUMINATION, " along with SN 1370-309-5028 and LOT NO. 60-HK-0465-195. The front panel is stenciled with the warning text: "HAND SIGNAL DEVICE / HANDLE CAREFULLY / KEEP FIRE AWAY." Two barcode labels are affixed to the front panel.
