Description

An antique single school desk and bench unit manufactured by Esterbrook Mfg Co. The unit features wooden seat, backrest, and desktop surfaces constructed of planks finished in a medium reddish-brown varnish. These surfaces are supported by ornate cast iron standards. The hinged desktop is currently in the raised position. Raised lettering identifying the maker, "[E]STERBROOK MFG CO., " is visible on one cast iron standard. A blue adhesive tag marked "20" is affixed to the wooden backrest.

Measures approximately 32 inches in height and 18 inches in depth.
