Description
A pair of vintage oilers attributed to GEM Manufacturing Company, Pittsburgh, PA, commonly known as Thumb Press Oilers or Thumb Oil Cans. The lot includes two distinct forms: one dome-shaped oiler body and one cylindrical oiler body, both constructed from ferrous metal. The cylindrical oiler features an external lever-actuated pump mechanism on the top plate. Both pieces retain their original long, curved spouts. Heavy corrosion obscures any potential manufacturer’s marks or legible text on the bases.
Dome oiler height: 8.5 inches. Cylindrical oiler height: 7.5 inches.
