Description
A figural ceramic cookie jar depicting a stylized female character, likely dating to the mid-20th century. The piece is constructed in two sections, with the head and upper torso acting as the lid. The figure features green hair, closed eyes, a blue bodice, and an orange skirt. She is holding a green book-like object. Hand-painted stylized, non-alphabetic characters are visible on both the green object and the skirt. The vessel is finished with a polychrome glaze, while the base remains unglazed and unmarked.
