24 MARCH NATIONAL CHEESESTEAK DAY AUCTION
Lot 68:
Description
This decorative vessel is a pressed glass basket featuring a peach-colored hue. The design is characterized by two molded birds on opposite sides, whose outspread wings extend upward and join to form a single handle. The body of the basket is decorated with textured, stylized foliate and feather-like patterns. The piece is constructed from a single mold with a circular pedestal base. No maker marks or alphanumeric characters are present on the item. This design is consistent with mid-20th-century American glassware and is attributed to the Indiana Glass Company, specifically the Bird pattern often distributed by Tiara Exclusives.
Length: 7.5 inches.
