24 MARCH NATIONAL CHEESESTEAK DAY AUCTION
Lot 70:
Description
A mid-20th-century two-tiered tidbit tray featuring two clear pressed glass plates. The plates are designed with scalloped edges and decorated with a pressed geometric pattern of starbursts and interlocking diamond motifs, intended to mimic the appearance of cut glass. Both the upper and lower tiers include a thin gold-toned trim along the rim. The plates are connected by a central fluted metal handle with a brass-colored finish, terminating in a circular loop finger-lift. No maker marks, characters, or symbols are visible on the glass or the metal components. The construction and style are characteristic of American-made tabletop accessories from the mid-20th century.
