Description
This collection of advertising ceramics includes several items featuring iconic Campbell’s Soup branding. The group consists of one large handled soup bowl and three cylindrical mugs. The large bowl is made of glazed earthenware and features a transfer-printed decoration of the Campbell Kids illustration alongside the slogan M’m! M’m! Good! and a decorative gold-tone border. The base of the bowl is printed in blue with the mark of Gibson Housewares, licensed by the Campbell Soup Company, and is dated 2000. The three mugs feature the classic Campbell’s Tomato Soup can design with red and white horizontal bands, the Campbell’s script logo, and a gold-tone seal. One mug is made of porcelain and bears a backstamp for the Campbell Soup Company, Camden, N.J. The other two mugs are glazed earthenware and feature an incised USA mark on the base.
