Description
A collection of glazed earthenware soup mugs produced under license for the Campbell Soup Company by Westwood and Houston Harvest Gift Products LLC. These promotional items feature polychrome transfer-printed designs of the Campbell Kids characters engaged in various seasonal and gardening activities. The mugs are of cylindrical form with single loop handles. Base markings for the items include one mug produced for Houston Harvest Gift Products LLC, Franklin Park, Illinois, dated 2002, item number 31981; one mug produced for Houston Harvest Gift Products LLC, Franklin Park, Illinois, dated 1998; one mug licensed by Campbell Soup Co., marked By Westwood, dated 1997; one mug licensed by Campbell Soup Co., marked By Westwood, dated 1993; and one mug featuring a winter scene, consistent with the other examples in the collection. Several mugs are marked as dishwasher and microwave safe and were made in China. The designs include slogans such as M’m! M’m! Good!.
