Description
This item is a two-part novelty assembly consisting of a rectangular belt buckle frame and a removable, form-fitting flask. The front face of the buckle frame features a raised circular medallion depicting a stylized Iron Cross. The flask body slides horizontally into the frame and is equipped with a knurled screw-down cap attached via a captive hinge mechanism. The reverse side of the buckle frame is fitted with a fixed metal loop and a single prong for attachment to a standard belt. The item is constructed of a silver-tone plated metal, with evidence of a brass base. No maker marks, letters, or symbols are present on any surface of the item. This is a contemporary novelty or commemorative item and was not produced for official military use during the Imperial German period.
