Description
This advertising wall clock was manufactured by the Wisconsin Clock Co. of Clintonville, Wisconsin, for the Champion Spark Plug Co. of Toledo, Ohio. The clock features a multi-tiered circular frame with an oak-finished wood grain. The cream-colored dial is protected by a glass face and displays the Champion globe logo in red and white at the center, including the text Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. The hour positions at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock are marked with black and white illustrations of spark plugs, while the remaining hours are indicated by black serif numerals. The clock is equipped with black decorative metal hour and minute hands and a thin black second hand. The lower edge of the dial includes printed manufacturer attributions to the Wisconsin Clock Co. on the left and the Champion Spark Plug Co. on the right. The reverse side consists of a plywood backing with a centered plastic quartz movement powered by a single AA battery.
