Description
This 2012 US Silver Eagle is a one-dollar denomination bullion coin struck in one ounce of fine silver. The obverse features the Walking Liberty design with inscriptions for LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the date 2012. The reverse displays the heraldic eagle design with inscriptions for UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, and ONE DOLLAR, along with the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on a ribbon. The coin is housed in a generic clear plastic protective capsule. No mint mark is visible on the reverse. The American Silver Eagle was first released in 1986 and remains the official silver bullion coin of the United States.
