APRIL FUN
Lot 145:
Description
This antique single-sheave block pulley is constructed from a cast iron frame and sheave with a forged iron swivel mounting eye. The side plates exhibit a stylized cloverleaf or face-shaped design typical of American agricultural hardware from the late 19th to early 20th century. This type of pulley was commonly employed in barn hay-lifting systems or for well utility. The unit includes the original side plates, central axle, and a sheave with a deep rope channel. No manufacturer marks, patent dates, or identifying stamps are visible on the metal surfaces.
