Description
This silver bullion coin is a 2016 issue from the Republic of Armenia Noahs Ark series. The obverse features the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Armenia, flanked by a lion and an eagle. Surrounding the central image are inscriptions in Armenian and English reading REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA. Technical specifications are struck on the obverse, including the face value of 500 DRAM, the purity Ag 999, the weight 1 Oz, the year 2016, and the diamond-shaped mint mark of Leipziger Edelmetallverarbeitung (LEV). The reverse depicts a scene with Noahs Ark floating on floodwaters in front of the twin peaks of Mount Ararat under a rising sun. In the foreground, a dove flies toward the viewer carrying an olive branch. The reverse is inscribed with NOAHS ARK in both English and Armenian script. The coin features a reeded edge and proof-like mirrored fields.
