Description
This US Barber Quarter Dollar was struck in 1916 at the Denver Mint. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The obverse features the head of Liberty facing right, wearing a Phrygian cap and laurel wreath, designed by Charles E. Barber. The reverse depicts a heraldic eagle with outstretched wings. A D mint mark is positioned on the reverse, located centrally above the denomination. This issue represents the final year of production for the Barber quarter series.
