Description
A decorative cast iron doorstop featuring a whimsical figure of a male golfer depicted in early 20th-century sporting attire. The figure is shown wearing a flat cap, an orange and red plaid jacket, beige knickers, black socks, and black shoes. He is positioned leaning on a golf club with a golf bag slung over his shoulder, standing on an integral base molded and painted to resemble a putting green with a golf ball and a yellow flag marker. The item is a one-sided, hollow-back casting made of polychrome painted cast iron. No maker marks or signatures are visible.
