Description
This vintage clear pressed glass covered dish is styled in the classic hen on nest novelty form, resembling the designs produced by the Indiana Glass Company. The dish consists of two interlocking parts. The upper lid is molded in the three-dimensional form of a nesting hen, showing detailed feathering across the body, a textured comb and wattle, and an upright tail featuring vertical feather detailing. The oval base features a stippled, pebbled texture on the curved rim and a smooth, flat oval bottom. No maker marks, model numbers, or signatures are present on either the lid or the base.
