Description
This lot comprises two vintage tremolo harmonicas of Japanese manufacture, each complete with its original presentation box. The first instrument is a Yamaha No. 24 Virtuoso model, produced by Nippon Gakki Co., Ltd. in Hamamatsu. It features chrome-plated metal cover plates with etched decorative scrollwork and a dark red synthetic comb. The top cover plate is stamped with the markings VIRTUOSO, NIPPON GAKKI CO., LTD., and NO. 24. It is housed in its original yellow and blue textured cardboard box, which contains a paper instructional label inside the lid. The second instrument is a World Star Special Harmonica. It is constructed with chrome-plated metal cover plates featuring decorative circular vent patterns at each end and a dark-stained wooden comb. The top plate is stamped with The World Star and SPECIAL HARMONICA. It is contained within its original blue and yellow printed cardboard box featuring a star and globe logo.
