Description
This lot features a pair of vintage clear pressed glass figural holiday storage jars. One jar is molded in the form of a snowman wearing a top hat, which serves as the lid, and includes molded details such as a scarf and buttons. The second jar is molded in the form of Santa Claus wearing a stocking cap lid, featuring a textured beard and facial details. Both jars are constructed from colorless glass and retain white plastic or rubber gaskets designed to provide an airtight seal. These jars are characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century American glass production and are frequently attributed to the Libbey Glass Company, although no maker marks are visible on these specific examples. The snowman jar currently contains an assortment of polished river stones.
