Description
A vintage molded plastic coin bank manufactured by the J. Renzi Corporation of Leominster, Massachusetts. This model, identified as No. 458, features a standing teddy bear with a textured surface designed to resemble fur. The bear is modeled wearing a plaid or checkered jacket and a red bow tie. Painted accents include red on the inner ears, mouth, and bow tie, with black for the eyes, nose, and whisker pads. The base of the bank contains several molded marks: a circular indentation with the text CUT TO OPEN, the model number NO. 458, and the manufacturer name J. RENZI CORP above LEOMINSTER, MASS.
