JULY BOOM
Lot 18:
Description
A sterling silver pendant of Mexican origin featuring a large, oval cabochon-cut turquoise. The stone displays a vibrant blue hue with a prominent black matrix veining pattern. The turquoise is secured within a plain bezel setting, which is further embellished by a surrounding rope-twist silver border. The pendant is suspended from a tapered, high-polish silver bail. The reverse of the pendant is stamped with a hallmark inside a rectangular recessed area, which reads MEXICO on the upper line and 925 on the lower line, signifying its silver purity and place of manufacture. The piece exhibits a high-polish finish on the bail and a light patina on the recessed areas of the rope border and the reverse.
