Description
This two-piece pressed glass covered dish features the traditional hen on nest design, manufactured by the Indiana Glass Company. The piece is constructed from translucent yellow -colored glass. The lid is molded in the form of a nesting hen, showing detailed feathering on the body and tail feathers, with a textured comb and wattle. The oval base is decorated with a basketweave pattern on the exterior and a beaded rim where the lid sits. An embossed maker’s mark is located on the interior ceiling of the lid.
