Description
A pair of vintage collectible promotional advertising tins produced for Nestle Toll House. Both containers are constructed from lithographed tin-plated steel, featuring retro-style promotional graphics on all four side panels.
The first tin features a green ground and is designated as a Limited Edition seasonal recipe tin. The four panels depict scenes corresponding to the four seasons: a summer scene featuring Toll House Party Mix, an autumn harvest scene with a jack-o-lantern and chocolate chip cookies, a winter landscape with Toll House Pie, and a spring window view featuring Toll House Pan Cookies. The base of the green tin features a dark ink stamp reading 3321 31-1 I.
The second tin features a red ground and is dedicated to the Nestle Toll House Original Cookies recipe. Two opposing sides display a chocolate chip cookie set against a stained-glass style motif, while the other two panels feature Nestle Morsels and baking ingredients with the phrase Homemade Goodness. The base of the red tin is plain, reflective silver-tone metal. Both tins include matching fitted slip lids.
