Description
US 1947-S Roosevelt silver dime struck in 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The coin features the standard Roosevelt obverse and reverse designs. The obverse bears the readable inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST along with the date 1947. The reverse bears the readable inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and ONE DIME. A readable small impressed S mint mark, indicating the San Francisco Mint, is located to the left of the torch base on the reverse. The coin is housed in a white cardboard and mylar 2×2 flip, which is further contained within a clear plastic square protective case. The cardboard flip bears a handwritten inscription in black ink reading 1947 in the upper left corner and an illegible scribbled mark in the bottom right corner.
