Description
A sterling silver Twenty Dollar proof coin issued for the British Virgin Islands and produced by The Franklin Mint. The coin is housed in its original black textured cardboard mount featuring printed silver text reading THE FRANKLIN MINT. The reverse features the legend TWENTY DOLLARS with a fleur-de-lis, a central shield, and a heraldic wreath. A stylized lowercase f mint mark is impressed within the winged emblem at the base of the reverse design (photo 2). The coin is a proof strike characterized by frosted relief and mirror-like fields. Composition is .925 sterling silver.
