Description

A professionally prepared osteological specimen of a domestic horse (Equus ferus caballus) cranium. The skull features a long, narrow rostrum and a complete postorbital bar forming a closed orbital ring. The upper dentition is partially preserved, consisting of high-crowned hypsodont cheek teeth (premolars and molars) displaying complex enamel folding on the occlusal surfaces. The premaxilla lacks incisors and canines. The specimen is unmounted and consists of the cranium only; the mandible is not present. The bone surface exhibits a natural, weathered matte texture with varied tonal staining.
