Description
This is a vintage fixed blade butcher knife manufactured by the Ontario Knife Company in the United States. The blade is constructed of carbon steel and features a bullnose tip profile. The blade face is stamped with the Tru-Edge brand name in stylized cursive script above the Ontario Knife Co name contained within a knife-shaped border, with Made in U.S.A. below. The blade features four longitudinal grooves or fullers stamped into each side. The handle is composed of wood scales secured to the tang with two brass rivets. This professional-grade utility knife is part of the manufacturer’s traditional carbon steel cutlery offerings, similar in construction to the Old Hickory line.
