Description

This US 1921-S Morgan Silver Dollar is a one-dollar denomination coin struck at the San Francisco Mint. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The obverse features the Liberty head design with the date 1921 and thirteen stars. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle within a wreath and a small S mint mark positioned below the center of the wreath. Inscriptions include E PLURIBUS UNUM on the obverse and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, and In God we trust in Gothic script on the reverse. This issue represents the only year the Morgan design was produced at the San Francisco Mint following the initial conclusion of the series in 1904.
