Description
This decorative wall sculpture features a large butterfly silhouette crafted from thin-gauge sheet metal and wire. The wings are embellished with intricate cut-out scrollwork and a stamped texture designed to mimic a hand-hammered finish. The wing edges are flanged rearward to provide structural rigidity and a three-dimensional depth. The body and antennae are composed of formed metal wire and bands, welded to the wing assembly. The face of the sculpture displays a variegated faux-verdigris patina with mottled shades of green, bronze, and copper. The reverse is finished in a solid tan paint. There are no visible maker marks, signatures, or identifying labels.
