Description

A trio of United States Barber Quarter Dollars, comprising issues from 1897, 1899, and 1908. These coins are composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The 1897 and 1899 examples were struck at the Philadelphia Mint and do not bear a mint mark. The 1908 example features an O mint mark on the reverse below the eagle, indicating it was struck at the New Orleans Mint. The obverse features the Barber head design by Charles E. Barber, and the reverse depicts a heraldic eagle with a shield. The coins are presented in individual 2×2 cardboard and staple flips with various handwritten notations.
