Description
A two-piece pressed glass covered dish in the Moon and Star pattern, produced by L.E. Smith. The set is rendered in Amberina glass, characterized by a vibrant translucent red that gradients into amber and yellow tones. The form consists of a high-domed lid featuring a faceted finial and a coordinating circular base with a wide scalloped rim. The pattern, also known as Palace or Star and Punty, is defined by large circular indentations (moons) with raised starburst centers. The base has a smooth interior well and a scalloped outer edge.
Base diameter: 7 inches.
