OCTOBER 20
Lot 95:
Description
A figural wall-hanging font or trinket dish crafted from unglazed white bisque porcelain. The piece features a three-dimensional seated cherub or angel figure perched at the top, gazing down into an oval, shallow basin. The basin is designed with a scalloped, foliate-style rim and is embellished with molded rose floral swags and clusters distributed along the interior border. The reverse of the basin is shaped with a series of molded radiating ridges and features two circular apertures for wall mounting. The center of the underside displays a small, darkened rectangular mark, which is not legible as a name or character and appears to be a residue of old adhesive or a degraded paper label. No other marks, stamps, or signatures are present on the porcelain.
