Description
This lot consists of a pair of Lionel model 6-5149 Remote Control Operating Tracks designed for O27 gauge model train layouts. Manufactured by the Fundimensions division of CPG Products Corp. circa 1980, these units are constructed with metal rails and integrated electromagnetic components mounted on plastic bases. Each track section is designed to enable the remote uncoupling of railroad cars equipped with magnetic couplers or to activate the mechanisms of operating freight cars, such as coal dump or log cars. The items are contained within their original illustrated cardboard retail packaging. The reverse of the boxes features technical diagrams for layout expansion and step-by-step wiring instructions for installation. Printed markings on the boxes include the Lionel logo, the O27 gauge designation, and the model number 6-5149.
