Description
A of Japanese-style Yukimi-gata (snow-viewing) garden lanterns. The lantern is constructed in multiple pieces: a pointed finial (hoju), a broad overhanging roof (kasa), a central light chamber (hibukuro) with rectangular apertures, and a flared, four-legged pedestal base. The item are made of cast stone with a textured finish intended to simulate carved granite. No maker marks are visible
