Description
This is a Japanese-style garden lantern, specifically known as a Yukimi-gata or snow-viewing lantern. The item is constructed from cast stone concrete with a coarse, pitted texture and visible mold seams designed to resemble weathered granite. The lantern is composed of several stacked sections including a four-legged base (ashi), a square middle stand (chubana), and a central light chamber (hibukuri) featuring circular cutouts. The structure is topped by a wide umbrella-shaped roof (kasa) and a lotus-bud-shaped top finial (hoju). No maker marks, signatures, or inscriptions are visible on the piece.
