Description
This sterling silver pendant necklace features a theme of two sea turtle charms arranged in a vertical drop style. The upper turtle charm is designed with an openwork shell featuring a scroll motif. The lower turtle charm is larger and features a matching openwork scrollwork border surrounding an inset pear-shaped iridescent stone cabochon, such as mother-of-pearl or moonstone. The pendants are suspended from a fine rope chain. The necklace is secured with a lobster claw clasp. The inner lever of the clasp is stamped 925. The reverse of one rear flipper on the lower turtle pendant is marked 925ID, while the opposite rear flipper is marked ATI. These hallmarks suggest the piece is of Southeast Asian origin, likely Indonesia or Thailand.
