Description
An Art Deco era console bowl or centerpiece plate manufactured from pressed uranium glass, frequently referred to as Vaseline glass. The piece displays a characteristic citron yellow-green translucent color in natural light and exhibits a bright neon green fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light due to the presence of uranium oxide. The design features a wide, flat rim and a shallow body that tapers into a deep, circular central well. The bowl is supported by a low, stepped circular foot. The glass is smooth and undecorated, with no visible manufacturer marks or signatures.
