Description
This lot features two vintage miniature combination ignition wrench sets manufactured for Sears, Roebuck and Co. under the Craftsman brand name. Both sets are constructed from drop-forged Super-tuff steel and are designed for precision work in confined spaces.
The first set is a fractional SAE collection contained within a brown vinyl pouch. The front of the pouch bears a vintage Craftsman logo, while the back lists ten size pairings: 5/32 x 3/16, 3/16 x 5/32, 13/64 x 7/32, 7/32 x 15/64, 15/64 x 1/4, 1/4 x 9/32, 9/32 x 5/16, 5/16 x 11/32, 11/32 x 3/8, and 3/8 x 7/16. The set includes nine Craftsman -V- series wrenches. One wrench is a non-matching addition or replacement, a 25/64 inch tool marked INDESTRO CHICAGO-U.S.A.
The second set is a metric collection, Model No. 9 43443, in its original clear and white vinyl pouch featuring the Sears and CRAFTSMAN METRIC logos. The reverse side specifies ten metric pairings: 4mm x 4.5mm, 4.5mm x 4mm, 5mm x 5.5mm, 5mm x 6mm, 5.5mm x 6mm, 6mm x 7mm, 7mm x 8mm, 8mm x 9mm, 9mm x 10mm, and 10mm x 11mm. This set is complete with ten matching Craftsman -V- series metric wrenches, including model numbers 44535, 44537, 44538, and 44539. Markings indicate these tools were made in the U.S.A. and distributed by Sears, Roebuck and Co. of Chicago, Illinois, and Simpsons-Sears Limited of Canada.
