Description
This is a professional-grade Proto 12-piece convertible retaining ring plier set, model number 360B. The tools are designed for the installation and removal of both internal and external retaining rings (snap rings). Each tool is constructed of forged steel with a blackened finish and features red vinyl-coated handles. The convertible design allows the user to switch the action of the pliers between internal and external ring applications by adjusting the pivot pin mechanism.
The set includes a variety of tip diameters and angles to accommodate different job requirements. According to the manufacturer label, the set contains pliers with tip diameters of .038 inch, .047 inch, and .070 inch, with tip angles of 0 degrees, 45 degrees, and 90 degrees. Individual tools are marked on the red handles with the Proto brand name and specific model numbers, such as 371, 372, 378, and 385. The metal bodies of the tools are stamped with Made in U.S.A., Convertible, and U.S. Patent No. 3,605,532. The tools are contained within a custom-molded red plastic carrying case featuring a black handle and latches.
