Lot 168:
Description
A vintage American cast iron skillet, sand-cast and featuring two integrated side pour spouts. The handle is designed with a teardrop-shaped hanging hole and a raised character 8 located at the base where it joins the pan body. The underside of the skillet includes a raised heat ring around the outer perimeter. An incised character 3 is visible in the center of the base, though further markings are obscured by a heavy layer of carbonized seasoning. The interior cooking surface is smooth and shows evidence of long-term use. The overall design and features, such as the raised size number on the handle and the heat ring, are characteristic of early 20th-century American cookware produced by various regional foundries.
Diameter: 10.5 inches.
