FR 1960 nickel 1 Franc coin, Sower design. The obverse is inscribed REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE and signed O. Roty. The reverse is inscribed LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE and 1 FRANC. The coin exhibits the Paris Mint cornucopia mark and the owl privy mark of Raymond Joly. This 1960 issue was the inaugural year for the New Franc denomination.
