Description
This lot consists of two US Kennedy half dollars struck at the San Francisco Mint, as identified by the S mint mark on the obverse of each coin. The first coin is a 1776-1976 Bicentennial issue featuring the Independence Hall reverse. The second coin is dated 1978 and features the standard Presidential seal reverse design. Both specimens exhibit proof finishes characterized by deep mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices. These coins are composed of copper-nickel clad layers bonded to a pure copper core. Each coin is presented in a standard 2×2 white cardboard and plastic film flip.
